Append value(s) to a column (before or after)

Append values to the cells in a table column. The value(s) can be placed before or after a cell's original text. Excel allows you to do this through a concatenate formula. The formula can get tricky when you want to concatenate special characters like quotation marks ("). Plus, it gets tedious when you are appending several values each of which requires copy and pasting. DigDB is just faster and easier.

Select a single cell in table column you want, then invoke 'DigDB->Column->Append...'

The column to append will be automatically selected.
Enter the values you want to append. Suppose we want to create 2 new columns with words like 'Houston Restaurants', and 'Houston Taxi', simply enter the word ' Restaurants' (leave a preceding space) into the textbox, then click 'Add More...' button, enter ' Taxi' into the new textbox.
Click 'OK' to append. Result - two new columns will be inserted into the table, each with the append values you entered.

If you have many values like 'Restaurants', 'Taxi' to append, you can type them into a range first, then invoke the append function. Choose the radio button 'Enter Values by Range', enter the range selector, then go to your append list and select. It's equivalent of entering them one by one in the append window.

DigDB's Column Append functions is designed to quickly manipulate table columns. There is another function Mix & Match Sets, which allows a user to mix any sets of cells to produce a list of all possible combinations.
